Bayonetta has a new voice actress in the third part

Less than a month is left before the release of the long-awaited hacky game Bayonetta 3. However, among all the new samples that the game carried away, there was one sad news for many fans. In an interview with Game Informer magazine, Jusuke Miyata, the director of the third Bayonetta, said that this time the main character was not voiced by Hella Taylor, as was the case in the first two parts. He commented on it as follows:

“Several overlapping circumstances prevented Helena Taylor from playing the part again. We auditioned to find a new voice for Bayonetta and were offered the role of Jennifer Hale, who we thought was perfect for the character. I understand some fans’ concerns about the voice change at this point in the series, but Jennifer’s performance was much better than we could have imagined. I am confident that her portrayal of Bayonetta will exceed our fans’ expectations.”

It must be said that Hale is no stranger to the field of game voice acting. She is probably best known for the Mass Effect series, where she voiced the female version of Commander Shepard. But she has also appeared in games like BioShock Infinite, Halo 4 and 5, Overwatch, For Honor, and more. She really has a lot of experience, but you will have to judge for yourself if she really fits the voice of Bayonetta.

Bayonetta 3 releases October 28 exclusively on the Nintendo Switch.
