FIFA 23 on Steam has faced criticism

FIFA 23 has had a rocky start, at least on PC. According to community feedback, it is suffering from lag, frequent crashes, and issues with the new anti-cheat, which was originally supposed to be one of the elements to help this game succeed by removing cheating players from the game. In the end, this is apparently an aspect that, on the contrary, will harm the whole. According to user feedback, this element uses up to 30% of CPU resources and, worse, sometimes causes error messages on its own. Some imagine the beginning of this sports game as Russian roulette, in which from time to time they manage to win back a broken title and finally join the game. FIFA 23 currently has a rating of 31%.

The PC version is not the only one that the gaming community complains about. In the case of the Nintendo Switch version, there are no special joys either. EA brought the same version to this console as last year, so for the third time we have the same game as in previous years, when, for example, IGN opposed this issue, only changing the number instead of the full text of the review. This year, the editors of the well-known site have chosen a slightly different approach, but they certainly did not praise this work. On the other hand. Again, this is something that is only for the very die-hard.

As for the ratings from other sites and especially the opinions of critics, they are extremely positive. You can check them out in detail in our FIFA 23 review.
