Overwatch 2 has had a number of backlashes prior to release due to the fact that all new heroes will have to be unlocked as part of the Season Pass. If you are among beginners, this idea does not really apply to you. This way you will have to open both newly released and old characters. Blizzard decided to go down this path to introduce the newcomer community to the game itself. In total, unlocking all currently available champions should take about a hundred matches, which is not exactly a short amount of time. During this time, they will gradually unlock all the fighters, and due to a certain slowness in the release of new figures, there will be no overpopulation.
For those of you who already own the first Overwatch, there are a total of 34 characters in the game, and you’ll need to unlock the newly added heroine Kiriko. However, Blizzard says that newcomers will have no problem connecting with and playing with veterans in any of the game modes. However, the problem may be that while more experienced players will get their hands on a wide variety of heroes, newcomers won’t get much out of the battle as they won’t have access to most champions.
Overwatch 2 releases October 4, 2022 for PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
