Case of a hacker attack on Rockstar Games and leaked videos from the development version of the anticipated game Grand Theft Auto 6 continues.
London police, in cooperation with the British cybersecurity department, arrested a 17-year-old boy in Oxfordshire on September 22, who considered prime suspect.
Two days later, the teenager appeared before the Highbury Corner juvenile court, where he made a statement, according to British Eurogamer. He pleaded guilty to violating bail, but denied computer abuse, saying he was innocent. (not guilty). Then he was placed in a juvenile colony.

“Innocent” means that he did not commit the crime in question, or had a reasonable excuse to do so. The court must decide whether he committed a crime. If such an accused is convicted, he may receive a harsher sentence than if he immediately pleaded guilty.
This isn’t the first time he’s been suspected of running into trouble with the law. According to BBC News, he was arrested (along with six other people) in March of this year and convicted. He was and probably still is part of Lapsus$ groups, which is behind cyberattacks on Microsoft, Nvidia or Uber. In these cases, separate proceedings are conducted.
The scale of the group’s activities is best illustrated by the fact that one of the leaders of the group is only 16 years old and has managed to accumulate a fortune in Bitcoin worth $13 million. Some reports say the man is actually 17 years old. However, we were unable to verify this 100%.
A leak from Grand Theft Auto 6 began circulating on the Internet on Sunday, September 18, in the morning hours. She was part of it an hour of early development gameplay footage this anticipated gangster action. More information was later leaked and the hacker claimed to have the source code for both GTA 5 and GTA 6.

On Monday, September 19, Rockstar Games confirmed the leak, stating that devs shocked and devastated by leak. “At this time, we do not expect any disruption to our game services or any long-term impact on the development of our current projects. We are very disappointed that the details of our next game were revealed in this way. Our work on the next Grand Theft Auto will continue as planned and we remain committed to providing you, our players, with an experience that truly exceeds your expectations.”
Many players criticized GTA 6’s gameplay footage, stating that the game looks terrible. Other developers have defected to Rockstar and started showing early versions of their games on Twitter in support. Here’s how we saw the early stages of Remedy’s Control, the mechanical Thunderjaw from Horizon: Zero Dawn, the indie hit Cult of the Lamb, the prototype of Baldur’s first battle in 2018’s God of War, Immortality in its first two years of development, the yet-to-be-released action-adventure A Plague Tale: Requiem or strange water physics in GTA 4.
