Riot Announces Valorant Partner Teams

Some time ago, Riot announced changes to the structure of professional tournaments, which certainly caused various passions among some players and fans. Recently, teams and organizations will not qualify for tournaments, but will compete for the favor of Riot itself. If he is satisfied, he will grant them partner status based on results and invite them to the leagues he organizes. Thirty organizations are expected to participate in the 2023 season, split evenly across the three Riot leagues. While the European league won’t see much of a change, the American and Asian leagues will now be made up of teams from more regions and many smaller leagues will be merged. Valorant Champions knows its winners

The Valorant Champions Grand Final was held on September 18 in Istanbul. The higher bracket was dominated by scorers from LOUD, which ensured they qualified for the grand final. Their rival is OpTic Gaming, so they got into a fight in the lower bracket, which they dominated, and in the end they faced the LOUD organization again, if not in the fight for the title itself. The final was very exciting. The first round went to LOUD, who won with a score of 15:13. In the second round, on the contrary, OpTic Gaming won with a score of 13:6. It was agreed. The third game went into overtime, which was dominated by LOUD with a score of 16:14. The final fourth match held on the Haven map was won by Team LOUD, who became the champions of Valorant this year. His reward was a cool $300,000. Half of this amount, that is, $ 150,000, went to the losers – OpTic Gaming. Third place went to Team DRX ($110,000), fourth place went to FunPlus Phoenix ($80,000), fifth and sixth places together received $60,000, and seventh and eighth places received $40,000. The prize pool was really high, as it should be for a tournament of this format. YouTube channel Marky99 Gaming then shared a video of the winners, which you can watch below.

Problems of Russian CS:GO Teams

Russian Counter-Strike teams have a problem. Due to the aggressive invasion of Ukraine, they may not make it to the European RMR (Regional Major Ranking), which will be held October 4-9 in Malta. This applies to the Benched Heroes, 1WIN, Aurora and K23 teams. The problem is the restriction on the issuance of visas, which is starting to get quite complicated. If the players do not receive their visas on time, their places will be taken by the teams following in the order determined by the August qualification. The first in line is the Polish team Illuminar, the second is the Forward team. The rest of the standings are unclear, as are all the other teams that made it into the top 16. ESL, the organization that organizes the RMR, said it was aware of the issue but did not comment further.
