Developer Epic Games is offering players compensation after a bug in the battle royale game’s Fortnite item shop mistakenly displayed an additional item in a promotional image. The Vanishing Point set was added to the PC free-to-play in-game store with an additional item included in the feature image that was not part of the offered item set.
The Vanishing Point Pack is a sleek white-themed bundle that includes the Whiteout and Overtaker skins, Ignition back charm, Lane Splitter back charm, and White Squall glider. However, the in-game promotional image of the set also featured a Clutch Ax pickaxe, giving players the incorrect impression that a mining tool was also included with their purchase.
Fortnite status account fix bug in Twitter, stating that “We are aware that the image of the Vanishing Point set in the Item Shop does not correctly display the Clutch Ax pickaxe.” Thankfully, if you’ve purchased the bundle, Epic Games makes sure you’re not left behind: the tweet added: “Players who purchase this bundle when this bug appears will receive a pickaxe within the next seven days.”
Players who bought the set hoping to get their hands on the Clutch Ax will be happy to know they’re not missing out, while those who have already caught the bug but bought the set with other items may find it useful. . try anyway.
