Several Lord of the Rings maps are being created in Halo Infinite Forge, and some of them will become play spaces for game modes when Forge launches as a free-to-play FPS game later this year. Additional maps will be added to the Hobbiton recreation that has already been released.
Designed by Red Nomster, who also created the Halo Infinite Forge Toy Story map, his recreation of The Shire from The Lord of the Rings caught some attention online after showing a near-perfect image of Bilbo’s house, so we contacted for more information. about the project in the multiplayer game.
“I plan to do more Lord of the Rings content on November 8,” Red Nomster told PCGamesN. “Minas Tirith, Helms Deep, Mines of Moria – there are a lot of fun places I’d like to try building in Halo that have been tried in the past. However, Halo Infinite should be able to do these places justice!”

Given that this recreation of the Shire is something Red Nomster is delivering ahead of Halo Infinite Forge’s full release on November 8, it’s impossible to say how detailed and extensive the other Lord of the Rings locations could be. The Shire is an exploration-only map (with the interior of Bilbo’s house), but all other maps created after Forge’s full release will be built around truly playable multiplayer spaces.
“The November Forge update will add flat worlds, so there’s plenty of room to recreate larger locations,” Red Nomster adds. “But just like my Toy Story map, there will be some creative changes to make it more competitive and fun with Halo gameplay in mind.”
As for these Lord of the Rings maps, Red Nomster says they’re going to wait for the full release of Forge to do it, as they don’t know if anything will be ported to the retail version of Halo Infinite, with The Shire acting almost as a proof of concept. for an idea
