In the statement below company confirmsthat someone had indeed illegally infiltrated their internal network and got access to confidential informationwhich included early footage of the upcoming Grand Theft Auto series.
The developers are understandably frustrated that players will find out about their upcoming project in this way. However, they also add that work on the game will still continue according to the original plan, which should result in an experience that exceeds our expectations.
Currently Rockstar. does not expect the leak to affect the operation of current game services or have a long-term impact on the development of current projects.. The authors also promise that when the time comes, they will officially present the game. Finally, they thank everyone for their support in this unenviable situation.
In fact, this is an assurance to the players that, despite the leak of confidential data, which is obviously unpleasant for developers, the development of the new GTA will continue as planned. The same should apply to the popular GTA Online, which according to recent reports has also been hit by a leak.
