Season 10 kicked off with the latest update for The Division 2, which was released on September 13. As well as kicking off the intended goals for another season, the patch also includes some long-awaited quality of life updates for the action MMORPG, including, for the first time, a full character overhaul.
The tenth season of The Division 2 is titled “The Price of Power” and is another search for another powerful agent who poses an existential threat to The Division. This time it’s General Peter Anderson, a power-hungry ex-officer trying to take Antwon Ridgway’s place as leader of the True Sons. Anderson plans to forge an alliance between the True Sons and the Black Tusks, and Division isn’t going to sit by and watch it happen.
The season will feature four more objectives, as well as two portable events. The SHD Paragon Apparel event will start on September 27th and the Dark Path Spooky event on November 1st.
The new countdown multiplayer mode now has three additional difficulty levels to choose from. The lowest level is “Normal”, which Ubisoft says allows Agents to perform the “Countdown” on their own. “Hard” is for groups of eight casual players, “Hard” is the difficulty of the released mode, and “Heroic” is for groups of four to eight “hardcore” players.
Season 10 also introduces legendary difficulty for Tidal Basin and Manning National Zoo, so gear up and head to those locations for fierce battles.
The skill cap was increased from 20 to 21 in Season 10, and again you can now fully customize your character at any time by changing body type, skin tone, and face shape.
Another interesting change is that now any NPC in the open world has a chance to get exotic loot from any activity, and that chance increases with difficulty levels. At World Tier 5 and above, you will also have the ability to collect Exotics from Level 3 Alert Checkpoint Chests and Dark Zone Chests.
Season 10 has already started, so it’s time to return to The Division 2: Warlords of New York.
