Newly created studio Ridgeline Games will work on the plot of Battlefield.

Battlefield 2042 does not have a story campaign, and many players consider this a significant drawback, because although the story has never been a strong point of the series, it was always better to get something than just multiplayer. As with many of its other mistakes, EA has finally realized its mistake and is already counting on the return of stories for other representatives of the famous series. Proof of this is the newly formed studio Ridgeline Games, which, under the leadership of Halo series co-creator Markus Lecht, should focus on making sure the next installment of the Battlefield series’ storytelling isn’t as messy as the past.

According to Vince Zampello, founder of Respawn Entertainment, the creation of Ridgeline Games and the arrival of Markus Lecht should greatly improve the position in which the new representative of the popular FPS brand will find itself at release. You can find out more in the official EA statement.
