“We won’t be releasing new Deltarune episodes this year,” Fox said in a tweet, “but as always we will have a special plan for Undertale’s anniversary.” But this, of course, without specifying what it is.
The anniversary in question takes place on: September 15, so we’re just a few days away from finding out what happened. These probably won’t be major new additions to Deltarune as they’ve been moved to 2023.
Deltarune is an RPG that shares many features with Undertale and tells a kind of parallel story to the original. Also in this case, it’s a “non-violent” role-playing game with a great emphasis on the construction of characters and the reference world, focusing on the narrative and rather bizarre combat mechanics.
Earlier, Toby Fox reported that Episodes 3, 4, and 5 will come out together and won’t be free, but it looks like they won’t arrive in 2022 until we wait for more definitive information.
