Diablo Immortal Dungeon queues are frustrating players

Much of the endgame activity in Diablo Immortal is based around multiplayer role-playing, but some fans who are fed up with Diablo Immortal’s dungeon queues and party system are asking for more ways to play and participate in a solo activity. Previous games in the series were playable solo, but players who prefer to take on hordes of demons alone are out of luck in Blizzard’s latest game.

Several posts on the Diablo Immortal subreddit, where Blizzard is encouraging players to provide feedback and suggestions, ask the developer to make their game more single-player friendly. A post from someone who describes himself as a ‘lone wolf’ type of player reads: “Don’t get me wrong, I love raids (Lassalle and Vitaat), but that’s all I’m interested in. Regrouping with other players is refers”.

They say they’ve enjoyed the game so far and enjoyed interacting with the Shadows faction system, but decided to stop playing when they realized they’d have to team up for dungeons and lairs if they wanted to get the item set. . Other players echo this sentiment in the comments, with mobile players noting that having to queue for a group to complete dungeons feels inconsistent with light play sessions.

Another upvote post highlights a different issue, saying they can’t find players for dungeons. “Saturday night and 0 players running dungeons on a supposedly active server… What’s the point of forcing myself to prepare if I can’t find any players?” The commenter acknowledges that there have been several posts about this issue, but says that he is frustrated with this issue. While some players report finding groups in just a few minutes, others say it usually takes 15-30 minutes, even during peak hours.

One possible reason, according to a podolot commenter, is that the “find party” option provided in the dungeon is not tied to the game’s party search system, meaning that “a group of people are sitting in queues completely different dungeons for the same dungeon.They also offer a random dungeon queue that will allow players to fill all open slots or put four players into a random dungeon if there aren’t any more.

An alternative suggestion is for dungeons to scale like rifts, where players of different levels of perfection or different levels of hellish difficulty can play together, but with team drops for each player tailored to their respective level. The Steelcode user points out that player segregation will only increase over time, as new players who start the game later may find themselves constantly falling behind on hellish levels compared to those who had a handicap.

The game’s combat squad system, the primary way players team up, has been criticized for how often it’s needed. One user notes: “I have to empty my team almost twice a week due to inactive players. Most want to mind their own business, and I don’t blame them.”

Some players have expressed concern that providing more solo content will make it easier to run endless bot accounts because no one will be there to report them. Others suggest that persistence in Warbands is meant to encourage players and their friends to keep connecting.
