terrarium is it the first game Steam be past million reviews almost all positive. We’re talking about 980,000 positive reviews versus over 21,000 negative reviews. That is, 97.11% of players chose to leave a positive review for the game. Not bad for what started out as a simple 2D Minecraft clone.
The data is particularly interesting because, as you can see, even if someone in the top 10 comes very close, almost no one reaches their level. For example, Garry’s Mod has 95.85% positive reviews, with around 870,000 reviews in total. Positive reviews are 96.61% for Left 4 Dead 2, 95.30% for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
Only Stardew Valley has a slightly higher average of positive reviews at 97.22%. In this case, however, it should be noted that the same total is almost 500,000, thus less than half of Terraria.
Regardless of the percentage differences, it’s worth noting that these are highly acclaimed titles by the PC community.
Note that there are games like Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Dota 2 that have more reviews than Terraria, but their overall scores are lower than Terraria’s.
