Microsoft has released a list of seven Humble Games releases that will be available on PC Game Pass on Day 1, including Stardew Valley-like Coral Island. Midnight Fight Express is now on Game Pass, what else can we expect in the coming months?
The partnership between Humble Games and Xbox Game Pass seems like the perfect match: independent developers get a guaranteed income from their creations and, perhaps most importantly, a guaranteed audience. Here are six other games announced for Game Pass:
- moon scars – September 27th
- coral island – October 11th
- ghost song – November 3
- endless guitars – to be confirmed, 2022
- Producer – to be confirmed, 2022
- signal – to be specified
As a recovering Stardew Valley addict, I’m excited and a little scared for Coral Island. The perspective of a relaxed gameplay loop is something I really like, and Stairway Games’ description seems fair to me:
“Leave the big city life of Pokio behind and start a new chapter of your life in coral islandreleases on October 11. Be whoever you want and create the idyllic farm of your dreams where you farm, care for animals and connect with nature in this reimagined farm simulator from Stairway Games.
Prodeus also looks interesting; A look at the FPS genre, but from about 20 years ago. Big pixels and big guns, the self-proclaimed “Boomer Shooter”. I don’t know if my reflexes are exactly the same as when I played Quake 3 Arena, but I’m ready to put myself to the test when the game comes out later this year.
