While waiting for notification new Need for Speed gameplay footage, likely taken from a beta version, has been leaked online. The NFS Criterion Games name has yet to be announced, but earlier speculation is confirmed.
They really have arcade racing cartoonish visuals. We see it in a short video as the historic Chevrolet Bel Air crashes into an obstacle. In particular, the skull above the car and graffiti-style angel wings on the door.
You can also see them in the video pedestrians, which has never been on the streets of fictional Need for Speed cities before. Let’s see if they make it into the final version and how they react, for example, in Ubisoft’s The Crew, pedestrians jumped in front of an oncoming car and couldn’t get in.

New speculation claims that less than half of the former Ghost and old Criterion teams are working on the project. The rest are newcomers who have not previously participated in the Need for Speed series.
EA’s main goal is to be spread interest in NFS among a new generation of young players. But the publisher should also expect that that old fans will buy the game. For that reason, it’s likely to be a soft reboot of the series, similar to what Activision did with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.
