The Sumeru region may have just arrived, but a new Genshin Impact leak shows that some gamers are still waiting to see the sequel to the popular HoYoverse RPG. The developer has just introduced a new region and item to the world of Teyvat in Genshin Impact. 3.0, but there’s always something new just around the corner, and this time it’s a huge, imposing desert. This new leak shows a map of the Sumeru desert that is supposed to be added in version 3.1 and includes a new area and several points of interest.
Genshin liquor by name a plus uploaded an image to Twitter showing the entire desert region with teleport landmarks and statues of all 7. The screenshot also shows the names of the areas, but they are not in English so far.
Known source of leak Ubacha They have also uploaded a map image, although their English version does not have waypoints or statues. The three main areas of the desert appear to be lee erosion, sand colonnade, and wind erosion. In another related tweet, UBatcha also mentions that up to 31% of Sumeru will still not be released when 3.1 is released. So for those who still do not have enough, there may be much more interesting.
This desert part of Sumeru seems to be the exact opposite of what we have been able to explore so far, as the area is currently teeming with sprawling rainforest, dense jungle, and giant vegetation along several long streams. The HoYoverse teased the wasteland in a short trailer just days before the leak, so this map expansion is likely to arrive in the next update, along with three other Sumeru natives: Cino, Nilou, and Candace. However, do note that these leaks are still subject to change given that version 3.1 is only a few weeks away.
