It finally happened and we couldn’t quite believe what we saw! The sequel to one of Xbox’s best RPG games is coming and it’s sure to be huge! The spiritual successor to 2014’s Lords of the Fallen, Lords of the Fallen was unveiled by CI Games during the Gamescom 2022 Opening Night Live screening. Although we haven’t heard much about the game himself, we know one thing. – and that’s not good news for fans of the original. Lords of the Fallen is only coming to PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC.
That’s right, the next-gen special will take place when The Lords of the Fallen releases. While that’s obviously pretty annoying, there seems to be a pretty good reason for it. The game itself is huge compared to what it looks like.
Cezar Virtosu, Creative Director of CI Games, has confirmed that this game will be a “massively interconnected and considerably larger duo game”.
a world divided between the realms of the living and the dead that players can explore alone or with friends”.
Additionally, Virtosu explained that it is “darker and more challenging, with faster-paced soul combat, stronger thematics, a richer storyline, deeper RPG systems, and more immersive storytelling.”
If you want an idea of the scale, the developer thinks The Lords of the Fallen will have an open world more than five times larger than the world in 2014’s Lords of the Fallen.
Combine that with the fact that it’s going to be a sort of dual-world game with more NPCs and features than we’ve seen before, and it makes sense to develop it specifically for next-gen consoles. . We don’t want another Cyberpunk 2077, do we?
The Lords of the Fallen release date can’t come soon enough, but we’ll have to wait a bit longer for more information. A full reveal of the game is due out later this year, possibly at The Game Awards in December 2022, and there’s plenty to look forward to in the months to come. Could this be one of the best PS5 RPG games upon release? We silently hope.
