The new version of the app will add QR code login, smarter notifications, an improved library, and support for multiple accounts.

“The sooner we get product feedback, the better. Of course, this is not possible at the very beginning of development, but after a certain milestone, we are always happy to invite volunteers from the ranks of users and listen to their opinion. By involving more people, we can then test our assumptions, find out what we like and dislike, and more easily look for issues that need our attention. Which is especially important for an app that needs to be available for countless phones and devices.”

He can participate in trials every Steam user. Valve is currently looking for players who have previously used the Steam mobile app and would like to share their thoughts on the update. They and everyone else must subscribe to a dedicated community group. According to Apple’s rules, the number of participants on iOS is limited to 10,000 and the TestFlight app is required.

Valve will gradually increase the number of beta testers and improve functionality until it finds an update ready for public release.
