Launched in Early Access on Steam with only Japanese language support, Sorcery: Five Ordeals 59 Studio finally happened updated also to support English language. This way it becomes easily accessible even by western people. Please note that the only previously selectable language was Japanese.
This is not surprising given that the franchise continues to be particularly successful in the East, while being completely forgotten in the West. Let’s see an image gallery with the game texts translated into English:
To celebrate the innovation, Wizardry: The Five Ordeals is currently 15% off on Steam.
Of course, the translation only relates to official scenarios. For those who don’t know, Wizardry: The Five Ordeals is a first-person dungeon crawler for Dungeon Masters where you can encounter five different scenarios. It’s designed for the most hardcore gamers, i.e. those who don’t disdain a classic challenge. It was created in 2006 by the developers working on the series (although the franchise came from much further afield). It’s essentially the same game, but remade using the Unity engine.
