One of the many shortcomings that Battlefield 2042 suffered from when it was released was the handling of specialists. The idea that everything could be at hand didn’t quite catch on, and it’s still one of the most pressing problems with this decent FPS. And it is the specialized format that in the future must be adjusted and again transformed into a well-known class concept. The first step in the transformation should be the assignment of gadgets and abilities that can be selected before the event. While now everyone can choose what they want, in the future it is expected that individual pieces of equipment will be available within well-defined classes, which in theory could lead to everyone not carrying an ammo box, a first aid kit or resurrection transmitter.
If there was a slightly more accurate placement of weapons, perhaps this would return the set to a safer track, from which it left at the start. In addition to specialized adjustments, a lot more is planned. In September, we plan to release a new version of the “Upgrade” map in Battlefield 2042, and in October, players will see a re-played “Orbital”. Each of the locations should have more strategic points and positions that provide players with cover. At least from what the authors present, both directions look excellent. We can also look forward to a fresh infantry-oriented battlefield. The creators have a lot ahead, judging by the information provided, they still have plenty. However, it’s good that they are still working on the unit and trying to get it to the point where players want to play it.
