SimulaM developer has published a new development diary. I am Jesus Christ where Street for Calvary through the gameplay. The gameplay episode starts at 3:59 and it looks pretty bare to be honest, but we think there’s room for future additions. Basically, we see the Via Crucis, where Jesus barely dragged the cross, all the way up the hill where Golgotha would be crucified.
Calvary is a hill outside the city walls of Jerusalem where those condemned to death like Jesus were crucified. It derives its name from the presence of unburied skulls, as well as the traditional burial place of Adam.

I Am Jesus Christ is a weird game that tries to turn bibles into a first-person adventure while also taking itself very seriously. It’s hard to tell how well it did from the test version, but it tried to re-read what Jesus did first and foremost through traditional gameplay mechanics, although there are some intriguing elements. It still has a long way to go, so it’s okay to delay the judgment.
