As reported by GamesIndustry, Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered posted 26% more sales in its first week than the PC version of God of War released in January. Not only that, it’s currently the fourth best launch in the UK of 2022 after Elden Ring, Total War: Warhammer 3 and LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. Overall, it has always been at the top of the sales chart since its release on Steam.
Setting aside the success recorded in the UK market, Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered represents another important step in Sony PlayStation’s expansion strategy in the PC market. Ports published on Steam and Epic Games Store in total 80 million dollars Sony is estimated to reach $300 million in 2022.
The combined results of Horizon Zero Dawn, Days Gone, and God of War represent $108.9 million in revenue, according to data updated at the end of March 2022. The PC version of Horizon Zero Dawn sold 2.3 million copies, Days Gone 852,000 and God of War 971,000 copies.
