The developers called out and shamed the hackers of Tower of Fantasy

Tower of Fantasy pirates have been a problem since the game’s release, ruining the role-playing game for players who just want to grind and collect the best Tower of Fantasy characters. As player concerns mount, Hotta Studio has cracked down on banning thousands of fraudulent accounts, but has also named and humiliated hackers for their infractions.

One of the downsides of online gaming is the sheer number of hackers and scammers hell-bent on ruining your life, and unfortunately, Tower of Fantasy hasn’t escaped them.

While players urge others not to play the game until the anti-cheat software is fixed, Tower of Fantasy cheaters seem to get away with it under the supervision of Hotta Studio.

Not now. Following player complaints, the developers banned a bunch of cheaters from Tower of Fantasy, but that’s not all, they also named and humiliated them in an official blog post.

Writing “to ensure a fair gaming environment and provide a great gaming experience for all Tower of Fantasy wanderers,” Hotta notes, “Hykros’ central control room monitors accounts using cheats and violates the use of scripts to initialize Account data”.

The developers further confirm that “On August 16, we permanently banned 1,706 accounts involved in serious policy violations.”

Southeast Asia has the most blocked users with 470, followed by Europe with 442 and North America with 343. The developers then list the names of all accounts that have been verified, adding asterisks to protect the identity of players. .

This is quite a big decision for Hotta, as very few developers have provided a public list of banned accounts, opting instead to simply list the number of scammers. Players called for action, and Hotta responded: just make sure you don’t end up on future charts!
