Announced last year, A Plague Tale: Requiem recently received a lengthy gameplay trailer that also revealed a release date. However, shortly before Gamescom, the developers from Asobo studio again checked out a new trailer that brings the story and gameplay together.
The second part takes place a few months after the events of Innocence. Looks like Amicia and Hugo can finally live normal lives. But Hugo’s illness reawakens, and everything starts anew. The siblings must travel to a mysterious island in the Mediterranean that appears in Hugo’s dream. It was there that they were able to find a cure for this disease. The last few months have already taken their toll on Amicia and she won’t be afraid to kill her enemies, although her little brother doesn’t like it too much. He, in turn, can control rats and acquire other abilities related to them.
The game will be available at this year’s Gamescom next week, both for journalists who can try out the part shown in June, and for the public to play one of the first chapters.
A Plague Tale: Requiem launches October 18 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
