The gameplay of Starfield, originally revealed at Summer Games Fest, has been stripped down and scrutinized from just about every possible angle, and fans are eagerly awaiting a new Starfield gameplay trailer that will provide more insight into the space RPG. Initially, it looked like Gamescom 2022 would deliver some coveted additional details and information about the vampire FPS Redfall, but to the dismay of fans, developer Bethesda appears to have changed the plan.
In a post on the Bethesda Developer Blog, the creator of Fallout and Elder Scrolls originally invited Gamescom attendees to “come see Redfall and Starfield play and get their hands on Fallout 76 while they’re at it.” Naturellement, it means that new images of the galactic RPG, which just present semblent incorporate de survival mechanisms and a clin d’œil au world of Fallout, seraient present lors d’une exposition de jeux en Germany que devait démarrer le 23 August.
However, the post has since been updated: “Come see a replay of the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase gameplay presentations for Redfall and Starfield,” it now reads, “and get your hands on Fallout 76 while you’re at it.” Then there’s the Starfield game at Gamescom, but the same 15-minute trailer we saw earlier this year. Fans expressed their outrage.
“Well this is disappointing for Bethesda,” wrote one. “You have to give us even more crumbs before the release date.” “Very disappointed that they are not using Gamescom to showcase new games,” reads another. “It should be a huge game, but right now you can’t boast more than 15 minutes of unimportant play.”
As in the previous game trailer, Starfield will be featured at Gamescom as a life-size version of VASCO, a companion robot (equivalent to Dogmeat from Fallout) that fans can take selfies with on the playground. show floor. In terms of new footage, Quakecon kicks off on August 18, and while Starfield isn’t on the game’s official schedule, there’s a chance it could show up unexpectedly.
