After numerous leaks over the past few months, Infinity Ward has finally announced that the Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer reveal will take place in September (as planned) just before the launch of the multiplayer beta.

The multiplayer reveal, which will be included as part of a brand new event called Call of Duty Next, will take place on September 15. It will also share the stage with Warzone 2, new information about Warzone Mobile, and some surprises, according to Activision.

Along with a presentation on all three games, including Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, a number of major publishers and content creators will be at the event to play the games themselves. They’ll probably release them all too, which means you’ll need to have more than enough Call of Duty to keep you happy.

In addition to announcing Call of Duty Next, Infinity Ward and Activision announced The Grand Prix, the game’s first multiplayer map.

This 6v6 map takes place on a street circuit and will be one of the maps available in beta on all platforms. You can watch the trailer on the right here.

With early access to the PlayStation beta starting the day after Call of Duty Next, we seem to be getting plenty of information to build excitement during the initial beta launch compared to last year with Warzone Pacific. and Precursor.

Call of Duty Next is just over a month away, so September should be a full month for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 details unless something leaks.
