Activision-Blizzard is a company that has been releasing games for all platforms for a long time. Its profits are generated by brands like Call of Duty or World of Warcraft. One would think that on all devices its titles reach the same numbers. In reality, however, the mobile sector is the main driveran example of this is the TweakTown server statistics for the second quarter of 2022, when the release of the mobile Diablo threw profits to dizzying heights. Diablo Immortal, along with Candy Crush and mobile Call of Duty, generated $831 million in that part of the year, representing 51% of the company’s total revenue. The PC only made $332 million, while the consoles weren’t much better at $376 million. As you can see, Activision-Blizzard’s gigantic investment in the mobile industry is paying off to the max.
Do you think that over time Blizzard will completely abandon the production of classic games? What can you say about his general policy in the mobile sphere?
