Intel is reportedly considering phasing out Arc graphics cards.

It may seem like an eternity has passed since Intel officially introduced Arc graphics cards. Indeed, almost a year has passed. Since then, however, nothing has gone according to plan and there have been delays. But as we now learn from the Moore’s Law is Dead video, there could be even more problems.

Intel’s graphics division is reportedly saying something completely different on the outside than what it says on the inside, and there’s still no official release date. The Alchemist may have a hardware problem that cannot be solved by improving the drivers, which are also not at the best level.

According to the leaked roadmap from a month ago, we were supposed to receive the maps at the end of July, but this did not happen. Moore’s Law is dead got its hands on another document saying there will be some sort of “History” event in September, but no one knows what that means and it specifically says it’s not a release.

The constant delays and general chaos surrounding the development of the Arc must have caused Intel management to lose confidence in the graphics division and are now said to be seriously considering canceling the Arc cards, perhaps even before the release of the second generation (Battlemage) . which also doesn’t go according to plan. In addition, the company itself has quite big problems, especially after the big drop in revenue for the last quarter.

Valve has already solved the problem with the lack of Steam Deck handhelds

The portable Steam Deck released this year is very popular. So it’s not surprising that it suffered from the same problems as with almost all electronics, it was just that there was a shortage of Steam Deck and the device had to wait a long time. However, now Valve has some great news – production is gradually increasing and supply will meet demand sooner than expected.

All those who have already booked will receive their Steam deck later this year. And not only this. Some clients will be acquired in the third quarter instead of the originally announced fourth quarter. Finally, Valve adds in a press release that even if you place a new order, you will still be able to receive the device by the end of this year.
