Ebb Software, the author of Scorn, has revealed some new information about the horror game. Specifically, he stated the approximate lifetime of the adventure and stated that a photo mode would not be included.
As stated, Scorn should last between six and eight hours: the difference of two hours will depend on how long it takes players to solve the in-game puzzles. The game world will have “a certain amount of different environments at various levels”.
The game looks visually stunning, but unfortunately it won’t have a built-in photo mode. However, the team added, “The focus is on maximizing player engagement, so our UI design is relatively minimal.” This means, in other words, that it will be possible to take beautiful screenshots via external tools even without having to remove the UI.
Ebb Software also states that Scorn should not be considered an AAA project: “This is an independent production and a project born of passion! Even though we started with only 4 people and on a very small budget, we grew up. It can be considered an AA project.”
As for the original soundtrack and artbook (see two pages above), which will be available separately and in the Deluxe Edition, the first features two hours of songs composed by Aethek and Lustmord. The digital artbook consists of 192 pages with details on the story as well as concepts from drawings, weapons, grotesque creatures roaming the world and much more.
Scorn, PC and Xbox Series X from October 21, 2022 | It will be available in S. Here are the minimum and recommended requirements.
