Last March, the development team set the release date for Warhammer 40,000: Darktide as September 13, but it’s clear that the timing was too tight to guarantee the quality that the co-op action’s writers were aiming for.
“Postponing a game is perhaps one of the hardest decisions a developer has to make, and no one is happy to do it,” Fatshark said in a message to fans. “But we hope it proves our commitment to taking the time and doing whatever it takes to give you the best possible experience.”
“While we’re happy with the feedback we’ve gathered so far for Darktide, we still need more time to improve stability and performance and consolidate some key mechanics for you.”
Fatshak also announced that it will conduct a series of technical tests close to launch to perform final checks before Warhammer 40,000: Darktide launches. Users who want to register can do so by visiting this site.
