Diablo Immortal players are reporting a bug affecting their Battle Pass and causing them to lose XP rewards for the update, though Blizzard has apparently released a patch.
On Reddit, Diablo Immortal fans explain that if they continue to level up their Battle Pass, they don’t receive any XP rewards, with some players claiming they’re still 5 million XP short.
“Completing contracts and completing the Battle Pass leaderboard,” one user wrote. “The XP animation played, but the XP bar did not increase at all.”
“Lost more experience this week,” says another. “3 million last week and 2 million this week.”
“I’ve lost about 6 levels so far,” a third user writes, while another adds, “I didn’t get any XP on my last two levels.”
On July 24, a Blizzard community leader posted a message on Reddit explaining that the developer was aware of the bug and released a fix, stating “there was a patch to fix this issue and the team is trying to fix it. Figure the amount of XP lost by each person during this period. Periods affected by this error. We have this data. XP will be sent as soon as we verify the data.”
However, as of July 25, some players continue to report the error, while others say that while their Battle Pass is working properly again, they have not been refunded for lost experience.
“I lost another level last night due to this bug,” wrote Alexerer8 on July 26. “It’s still not resolved.”
“That worked for me,” Tacosonamonday says, “but unfortunately they didn’t reward me with the experience from previous levels that I had missed.”
PCGamesN has contacted Blizzard about this bug and will update this story with any additional information.
