The description of Grounded Cross Play Support
Grounded is currently in Early Access, offering full cross-play and cross-platform support between PC and Xbox and this will be ported to the full 1.0 release in September.
It works seamlessly between those playing on Microsoft Store and Xbox consoles. However, if you’re playing on Steam, you’ll need to use the Xbox Companion app to join your friends and survive together.
When playing online with others via crossplay, the host is responsible for the save file at this time, so be sure to save them if you don’t want to lose backyard progress. Cross-saves are also available between platforms.
