Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch Prevents Corpses From Recovering

An update for the Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game Baldur’s Gate 3 was released today, fixing a concerning corpse issue. It seems that if your party went to the camp after the battle and then returned to the crash site, you would probably see the bodies of your dead enemies standing up, which Nope Expected behavior of deceased persons. Baldur’s Gate 3 Hotfix #26 fixes this and several other random bugs.

Larian says that the latest patch fixes several crashes and progression blockers. For example, members of his party should now display correctly in the camp, regardless of how many times he visits the camp. Another bug related to camp was causing a permanent black screen if the game loaded after arriving at camp, and this issue has been fixed.

Another multiplayer progression crash will occur if you transfer control of the Origin character to another player, and Larian says this fix should fix that as well. Also fixed crashes related to beer blast effects, loading a save, and saving to a camp after creating a vision of the ultimate spear.

The cinematography has received a number of tweaks and fixes, for example halflings and gnomes should now look at the correct speakers, and the UI has also received some attention.

The full patch notes for Hotfix #26 are available on Steam.
