Avoid playing Steam Deck in high temperatures: Valve warns of issues

“Steam Deck works best in ambient temperatures between 0 degrees and 35 degrees. Above that, Steam Deck may begin to throttle its performance as a preventative measure,” Valve says via the portable’s Twitter profile. “To be more specific, the Steam Deck processor works fine at temperatures up to 100 degrees Celsius. Beyond this threshold it accelerates and Automatically shuts down at 105 degrees to prevent fatal damage” adds the manufacturer.
