First images of Yakuza 8 development

Mikuru Asakura, who practices various martial arts in Japan, may appear in a new installment in the Yakuza series, tentatively titled simply Yakuza 8. He also shared the first footage of the sequel on his YouTube channel, which he filmed as part of his Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio tour, with fans. .

Publisher Sega confirmed the development of Yakuza 8 at the end of last year. The news came along with information about the restructuring of developer Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio, but no details about the game have been released.

In the studio tour video below, Sega President Haruki Satomi and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio President Masayoshi Yokoyama directly offer Asakura the chance to appear in the game. And he takes her on the spot.

Satomi and Yokoyama also mentioned that another game unrelated to Yakuza 8 is also in development at Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio, and that a whole new city will be coming to Yakuza 8.
