The iconic League of Legends Star Guardians are back, but this time with a Spirit Blossom-esque event and Porter Robinson’s booming theme song. It turned out that there was a subtle reference to the singer woven into a Star Guardian Kai emote, and he had no idea.
2022 is the year of Star Guardian, when some of the most famous characters from League of Legends will be called upon to face off against the fearsome duo of Fiddlesticks and Evelynn.
The event features a host of new skins and a Spirit Blossom-style story event that allows players to relive the Star Guardian story like never before, complete with a new Porter Robinson theme song titled Everything Goes On.
The perfect soundtrack to the complex battle between good and evil, it turns out that Star Guardian Kai’Sa’s much-desired skin has a sneaky little Easter egg that pays homage to the singer, and he didn’t even know it was going to be there. .
As part of Kai’Sa’s dance emote, players can hear a high-pitched voice echoing Robinson’s “It’s Moving On” voice as she and her adorable partner dance in the distance. Surrounded by swirling dark purple stars, the emote is the perfect way to bring the new Star Guardian Anthem into your game.
In an Instagram story dated July 18, Robinson reveals that “no one said [him] that this little tribute will be added to the game: “Oh my gosh, that little voice sings my voice for Kai’Sa’s Star Guard dance emote… I LOVE IT!”
Riot was quick to share this in their own story, revealing the secret to players and allowing them to celebrate the emotional moment together. Doesn’t this sound like something straight out of Star Guardian?
