Marshmello hints at new concert event after Fortnite 21.30 update

Huge virtual concerts and awesome live events might be something Fortnite players have been waiting for these days, but it hasn’t always been the case. American music producer and DJ Christopher ‘Marshmello’ Comstock has been the first artist to hold a virtual concert in Epic Games’ Battle Royale shooter, and after the release of the 9:30 p.m. update, it looks like he , Next one too.

That’s right, popular electronic artist Marshmello is making a return to Fortnite Island, and we’re really excited if that’s true. In February 2019, Fortnite held its first virtual concert with a ten-minute Marshmello show – an event that reportedly attracted over 10 million concurrent players. As we now know, the success of this event led to a series of incredible collaborations with artists like Ariana Grande and Travis Scott.

But why do we think Marshmello is next on the agenda? Just half an hour before the Fortnite update server shutdown began at 9:30 p.m., I tweeted out a very cryptic sentence. If you’re lucky enough to see Marshmello’s first virtual concert, you know what he’s talking about.

If you’re wondering what Marshmello actually said in his tweet, “I miss Pleasant Park,” he said. It’s a simple statement, of course. But it’s also a clear reference to the 2019 virtual concert held at the now-deleted Pleasant Park POI. While Epic Games has yet to confirm anything, it’s not entirely impossible to imagine that this could mean DJ’s returning to the virtual stage at some point in the future.

However, if you’re looking for more proof, iFireMonkey, the trusted Fortnite leaker and data miner, has shared new in-game files that may support the idea that Fortnite will be hosting some sort of in-game concert featuring Marshmello. . or otherwise.

As you can see below, iFireMonkey has found some in-game files that appear to be related to an in-game concert stage. It’s hard to say how big it is and if it matches the large screen we saw. at these massive live events in the past, but the timing is certainly questionable.

Fortnite update 21.30 is now live and the “No Sweat” event is about to begin. While we don’t yet know if Marshmello will actually return to host a virtual concert, there’s plenty to look forward to in-game in the weeks to come. It’s also worth noting that the latest Fortnite leaks suggest Battle Royale will be getting four Dragon Ball Z skins – so expect to hear more soon.
