Fall Guys players are reporting a bug in the in-game customization and cosmetics shop that causes Show Bucks premium currency, which is purchased with real money, to be deducted from their accounts even though they have not. they have not confirmed the purchase of any item.
In a Reddit thread, players described feeling “robbed” by a bug that reportedly resulted in inadvertent or mistaken item purchases based on many different actions while browsing the fall store. In some cases, as seen in the music video, items are automatically purchased when players simply look at them.
This new store is a joke, I was checking out some items and literally automatically bought this faceplate that I will never use. At least there’s a confirm button or something. Not even a cancel button? My controller has no issues with buttons sticking or double-tapping when not intended. by FallGuysGame
In other cases, players have reported that using the Alt+Tab command to return to the Fall Guys store screen on their desktop causes items to be purchased automatically.
There is also video footage showing the player clicking on a dog tag, which can be purchased with free “Kudos” currency earned in-game. However, instead of the Kudos item, the player proceeds to another screen to find an item that costs Show Bucks. – believing they are about to enter the dog tag purchase screen, the player proactively presses the confirmation button, triggering the purchase of the item. Show item in dollars.
Is there a way to get my money back after being scammed? by FallGuysGame
Fall Guys Showbucks can be earned in two ways. First, players can purchase the game’s Battle Pass, which costs 950 Show Bucks; 1,000 Show Bucks can be purchased for $7.99. By getting the Battle Pass, players will be able to earn additional Show Bucks in-game.
Another way to get Show Bucks is simply by purchasing them outright. In addition to 1,000 Show Bucks for $7.99, players can purchase 2,800 Show Bucks for $19.99, 5,000 for $31.99, or 13,500 for $79.99.
Network N earns an affiliate commission on qualifying sales.
Some players report losing up to 1,000 Show Bucks in a single transaction due to an error in the store.
Players also claim to have contacted Fall Guys developer Mediatonic to complain about the bug, but have so far been denied Show Bucks refunds which they claim were taken from them in error. One player, Omisake, shared the text of his Mediatonic response on Reddit. Another, desperate_smiley, posted a screenshot of an alleged email from a developer responding to his refund request. In both cases, the players claim that their refund requests have been denied.
“I’m sorry you received cosmetics from the store that you did not intend to purchase,” the messages purportedly sent to both players read. “Unfortunately, all purchases are final and we are unable to assist or offer refunds when purchasing items from the in-game store.”
Mediatonic also has a notice on their website stating that “All purchases made from the Fall Guys in-game store using Show-Bucks or Kudos are final and non-refundable.”
In response to the situation, Epic Games informs us that “what is happening in the game is not intentional and we are actively fixing it. The response from customer service was also unacceptable and we will offer compensation to all involved.
