Nintendo gives us advice to prevent the heat from ruining our Switch in the summer
The official Japanese account recommends good ventilation and a suitable room temperature for the grills.
Playing very cold video games may try to eliminate the feeling of heat, but it will not lower our console’s temperature. Nintendo knows this and that’s why they offered some short tips to prevent high temperatures from damaging our Nintendo Switch from the official Japanese account.
Translated by Nintendo Life, the message focuses on: prevent the internal temperature from rising equipment. Extending the life of the battery in portable mode is essential, but if we have docked it, we must follow some simple recommendations so as not to get upset this summer.
They recommend good ventilation of grilles“Playing the Nintendo Switch in a high-temperature place may cause the console’s temperature to rise. Between 5 and 35 degrees Celsius“, they explain from Nintendo. “In addition, clogged air inlet and outlet grilles can cause the console to heat up. Please have good ventilation around them.”
If these suggestions don’t convince you, you can always refer to the advice to lower the temperature of the consoles we presented to you a few weeks ago at 3DJuegos. Also, our colleague Felipe Báguena has compiled six important suggestions for extending the Nintendo Switch’s battery, so we suggest you take a look if you’re interested.
