Overwatch 2’s new DPS hero, Sojourn, has been in development for a while, but fans aren’t impressed with the “boring” nature of the character.

Some players were quick to test out some of their favorite heroes, like Mercy and Symmetra, who received significant changes in the second round of testing, while others showed off their skills as the latest character to enter the fray. Junker Queen.

However, the Australian bombshell soon overshadowed newcomer Sojourn. Despite all the hype surrounding the Canadian DPS prior to the game’s release, it seems that some aren’t entirely impressed with his lackluster personality.

While he certainly possesses impressive firepower, some players don’t think that prowess reflects on his character. “Sojorn is pretty boring,” one fan wrote on the official Overwatch subreddit. “Especially after everyone upgraded to 11 in OW2.”

“She is basically a good soldier who believes in justice and a good person. Farah had this problem in the last game, but in this one she became more aggressive. I hope the new video of her with her at least adds to that.

“A fine soldier with exceptional talent” is an already overdone trope in Overwatch,” noted one reply, with one comment stating that Sojourn “doesn’t have capes.”

“He’s a ‘safe’ pet with a simple enough personality, backstory, and abilities to fit into the game without causing too much excitement,” echoed another reply.

On the other hand, one response notes that “It’s still too early for Sojourn. We may still have some stories that will put her in the spotlight, but if it’s not in an upcoming scene or PVE, few people will care.”

As we continue to dig into Sojorn’s past and learn a little more about this mysterious misfit, it will be interesting to see how her story unfolds. However, if it looks like a reaper, you better stay away from it!
