Larian Studios revealed the contenteighth major update from Baldur’s Gate 3will introduce his class among other things poet. The patch will be available tonight, so you won’t have to wait long. As you know, the new Baldur’s Gate is available for Early Access on Steam and Stadia.
The announcement of the eighth update came on the occasion of Panel From Hell, a series of events organized by Larian Studios to present its innovations. The evening was particularly opulent thanks to Larian’s head of production David Walgrave’s live performance by Belgian metal band Hunter.
Obviously, the focus of all of them was gameplay and upcoming innovations, including the aforementioned bard class, race of dwarves, an overhaul of the rhythm of fights, and much more. The full release note of the new patch will be available on Steam after launch.
The bard class is the typical support class that fights using melodies. It is divided into two subclasses: the College of Valor, which focuses on war, and the College of Knowledge, which focuses on magic.
Among the innovations is a change in the combat system: now small enemies (like goblins or beasts) are grouped and attack all together. This way larger battles become more agile.
It also introduced the killcam to highlight critical hits, improved the appearance of characters’ hair, and more.
