Both E3 and BlizzCon will return in 2023.

Next year, the Video Game Festival will return to the convention center in downtown Los Angeles. E3 2023 promises a week full of top-notch game announcements and new game premieres to watch live and at home, while attendees will be able to play the latest games, including some that haven’t been released yet.

Publishers, developers, journalists, content creators and consumers are invited to E3 2023. Ticket prices have not yet been announced. Instead, we learned that ReedPop, who has a wealth of experience hosting events such as PAX, New York Comic Con, and Star Wars Celebration, will handle the entire exhibit.

The last three years have been very difficult for the video game celebration. Prior to the coronavirus outbreak, the organizers struggled with less interest from major publishers, although they opened the gates of the exhibition center not only to registered journalists, but also to players. In 2020, E3 was canceled entirely. A year later, it was held digitally only, and this year it was canceled again. Next year it should return to the exhibition center and the online world.

Speaking of the online world, the E3 organizers have a daunting task ahead of them. They will have to convince not only major publishers to attend E3 2023 and not broadcast on their own (which is cheaper, besides, companies do not have to compete with competitors for the attention of the players), but also to fight competition, especially Summer Games Festival producer Geoff Keighley. He was able to partially present E3 with his show.

In any case, all game lovers should mark in their calendars E3 2023 will take place in the second week of June (from 11 to 17. 6).

He’ll be back in three years BlizzCon. Blizzard intends to hold its previously annual event in 2023 and reach out to fans around the world. We previously heard from company representatives that one day BlizzCon will return. In the meantime it ends change the concept.

The last BlizzCon took place in 2019. The 2020 and 2021 releases were digital only due to the pandemic. Both face-to-face and online versions of the show were scheduled to take place this year, but plans were canceled so that Blizzard could instead focus on supporting their teams and advancing the development of their games. Behind the scenes, they talk about the lack of important titles, so the company simply had nothing to show.
