The traditional Gamescom gaming event is slowly approaching. However, the largest companies are not yet very shared, and there are not so many confirmed participants. The organizers claim that more than 250 companies will take part, but only THQ Nordic, Koch Media, Bandai Namco and, more recently, Ubisoft have been confirmed as major ones. However, now we finally got another confirmation.
Xbox will also be present at Gamescom this year, he confirmed this in a report for VGC magazine and others. We should look forward to news on games coming out in the next 12 months. We do not know more details yet, but we should find out in early August.
In contrast, Xbox’s biggest rivals Sony and Nintendo have previously confirmed their non-participation. Even giants Activision Blizzard (which is still not owned by Microsoft) and Take-Two have no plans to participate in the event.
As a reminder, this year’s Gamescom takes place from 24 to 28 August both online and physically in Cologne. August 23 will also host the annual Opening Night Live, hosted by Geoff Keighley.
