The upcoming Doom Treasure Tech Land mod is essentially Nintendo’s Wario Land series as an FPS game, complete with cartoony colors, treasure hunts, butt slapping, and ridiculously powerful thrust. Yes, it’s basically Wario vs Hell and you can already play the demo.
While there are many fantastic Doom mods, the most impressive are those that completely change the classic game in unexpected ways, for example, turning Doom into Ninja Gaiden, Silent Hill, or Golden Axe.
Treasure Tech Land by modder ultra 64 is a transformation of Doom “inspired by the Wario Land franchise”. You can try the original version of the mod here, but the final version looks more fluid and ridiculous, with a weapon so powerful that it repels both demons and the player, like the noisy cricket in Men in Black. Treasures can be spent in the new upgrade shop to make your abilities more devastating.
As for those abilities, they include a Wario-style ground slam, a shoulder charge, and even the ability to pick up monsters and throw them at other monsters, and they’re not regular monsters either, they’re just Doom regulars. enemies. that’s the only thing left unchanged in the mod, and that somehow makes it more fun, although in the final version they will be changed.

Treasure Tech Land is expected to have around 20 original scenes, and Ultra 64 says they plan to release it “later this year”, after which they’ll move on to a commercial sequel, which we think will be awesome.
In other Doom news, you can now play an expanded version of Doom 64 in the style of the Doom Eternal story, and fans have recreated and remastered the lost Doom RPG.
