Lego Terraria Fan Set Reaches Support Goal at Lego Ideas

Lego projects are a common way for fans to express their love for the series, and a one-man Lego Terraria set is currently being considered for official production after receiving necessary support through the Lego Ideas program. While other projects like the stop-motion Lego Minecraft feature and Lego’s custom gaming PC may be one-off releases, this variant of the 2D creation game could now become a commercially available kit, if approved.

JaoGosma’s idea for the 1970 Terraria Lego pieces, which was originally submitted to the show on January 28, has now reached the 10,000 follower mark, making it eligible for peer review. If approved, Lego’s set designers will adapt the design into an official model, which will then be released as Lego Ideas. If this happened, the creator of the JaoGosma project would be entitled to a commission of 1% of net sales.

While this set is based on licensed property, it is fair game for applications of Lego ideas, so long as the intellectual property in question is not already associated with Lego or is believed to contain elements deemed too “inappropriate” for Lego ideas. young Lego. . fans. Some of the other ideas approved in the past include projects based on Ghostbusters and Sonic the Hedgehog.

The project is an elevated house with two floors and a basement, with a well below that leads to a network of tunnels below. The caves contain various recognizable items from Terraria, including ore plates, an item chest, and a life crystal.

JaoGosma says that they were initially inspired by the aforementioned success of the Sonic the Hedgehog Green Hill Zone set, officially released on January 1, and believes that Terraria’s blocky structure is a perfect fit for the Lego concept. We can only agree.

If you can’t wait to see if this idea actually hits store shelves, someone else is working on their own Lego Terraria build, complete with bosses and underground sections. Another more tech-savvy indie fan is recreating Terraria as a 3D game, and frankly, it’s pretty intimidating.
