SHIELD TV IMPROVES CLOUD GAMING

On the SHIELD TV was an excellent choice for gaming through GeForce NOW, for example, thanks to the options for 4K HDR, 7.1 surround sound, or a wide choice of controllers. Players can also stream on Twitch and communicate via voice chat. The latest update for SHIELD, Software Update 9.1, brings more features.

When gaming or during video conferencing on TVs that offer low latency auto mode, the streamer will automatically turn on “Game Mode” and return the TV to its previous settings when playing movies or streaming TV shows. This eliminates the need for the often cumbersome setting of modes.

Another new feature is the night listening mode, which allows users to stream games or watch movies at night without disturbing others. SHIELD automatically adjusts audio volume from explosions to muffled dialogue to ensure a consistent listening experience regardless of volume setting.

The update also includes microphone notifications to help identify the active microphone when multiple devices are connected.
