Almost every boss in the Elden Ring has its own scene, or at least the ones that matter, with the big bosses and mini-bosses from the dungeons blocking your way through the RPG. Except one: Godric’s soldier. Redditer Jaown9 decided to solve this problem and created his own. Granted, he’s not much of a boss compared to the demons you’ll be facing later, and you’ll be fighting dozens of soldiers within minutes of entering Limgrave from the practice graveyard. After the transplanted offspring, it feels a bit anti-climax, although Godric’s soldier at least gives you the feeling that you could still survive in the Midlands.
Jaown9’s video helps make your first boss fight, aside from the Scion Graft, feel like the real thing. However, there is no sound, prompting Reddit to create their own script.
“I am Rick, God’s Warrior, and I have only known defeat,” said one user, which pretty much sums up the fight. Another lamented how the ruthless Ternished completely destroyed the unofficial fight club these soldiers set up, walking in and killing them as they did so.
At this time there is no way to add videos of Jaown to the game itself, but with the way the Elden Ring modding community has improved almost every aspect of the game, that could change in the future.
