New footage from Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope

Already on Tuesday at the Nintendo Direct Mini event, we learned the release date for the upcoming Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, the sequel to the successful turn-based strategy game of 2017. However, on Wednesday, Ubisoft hosted a separate show where we learned more details.

The first was a nutritious gameplay demo. The basics remain the same as in Kingdom Battle, but the combat system has undergone significant changes. This time it Characters will not move around squares, but freely, even currently. However, combat as such is still turn-based, so it’s a relatively interesting combination. Of course, it will be important to use the right abilities of individual heroes at the right time. In addition to them, small creatures will help us sparksafter which he craves a dark entity named “Kursa”which poses a threat to the entire galaxy.

As for the playable characters, those from the first part will return, but there are also a few newcomers. Specifically Rabbid Rosalina and the mysterious Rabbid known as edgewhose main weapon is the sword. But that’s not all, because this time he will also join the group Bowser, the main enemy of Mary. And why did he decide so? Kursa had taken all of his army he wanted back, so he had no choice but to cooperate with Maria and his friends.

In addition to the game preview, we also received a very interesting announcement regarding composers. He will return Grant Kirkhope, who wrote the soundtrack for the first part, but this time he is not alone. He joined him Gareth Cocker, who became famous mainly for music from both parts of Ori, but also featured on the Halo Infinite soundtrack. The two composers will then be joined by another woman who Yoko Shimomura. She has written music for, for example, Final Fantasy XV or the Kingdom Hearts series.
