Around the Marine Project Skull and Bones has been alive lately, as we’ve seen relatively recent leaks from the game, which have also recently been rated by various rating boards, such as the Brazilian one.
And it is to these commissions that the well-known ESRB has now joined, which assigned an M rating, so the title is suitable for an adult audience of 17+, and we’ll see images of blood, violence, drug use and inappropriate speech.
Also, it has been more or less confirmed that the title will be considered PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Google Stadium.
But there is also a summary that offers information on what we can expect:
“It’s a naval combat game where players take on the role of a shipwrecked outcast who is on his way to becoming a pirate captain. By completing missions, players can explore settlements and engage in dramatic naval battles. From a first person perspective, they order their crews to fire cannons at enemies (such as warships or merchant ships and settlements/forts) in order to gain loot/goods. You can run into enemy ships and board them, leading to short movies where crew members shoot each other or slash themselves. Combat is marked by gunfights, explosions, and blood splatter effects. In some areas, corpses are depicted impaled on a spike or hanging from a noose; beaches can display corpses and large bloodstains after a battle. Settlements sometimes offer brothels and prostitutes who yell at players when they approach them (e.g. “The price of my ass will go up tomorrow, so buy a piece today!”). Players can also take part in quests in which they must bring poppies to opium dens where people smoke pipes. Words like “fuck” and “shit” appear in the dialogue.“
