A prominent YouTuber and streamer is offering a $5,000 reward to anyone who can win Halo 2 Anniversary. While many FPS game fans did this a while ago, it’s a bit more challenging: It’s Halo 2 sans Death Run on Legendary difficulty, where almost all skull modifiers are enabled. Which is almost impossible.
For most of the history of space games, developers hid secret skulls around the field, until Halo Infinite. These skulls contain modifiers that generally make the game much more difficult, such as having no visible HUD or weapons, not being able to regenerate shields unless you hit an enemy, and making the Covenant much more lethal.
Therefore, completing Halo LASO (legendary difficulty with all skulls) is the most difficult challenge a Halo player can complete. And do it without dying? Almost impossible. Streamer Cr1TiKaL, also known as penguinz0 or Charlie White, encouraged the community to do just that in Halo 2 Anniversary by offering $5,000 to anyone who can complete LASO without dying.
Charlie White admits that if anyone has run Halo 2 LASO without dying, it was with the Envy Skull turned on, which gives Master Chief invisibility instead of a flashlight. So, to complete this task and receive a reward, it must be done without envy. Take a look at the rather long Cr1TiKaL challenge below (you may have to skip it for a bit).
“It’s considered the most difficult single-player achievement in FPS history,” says White. “I actually tried it myself, I couldn’t get past the first two rooms of the first Halo 2 mission with LASO!” If you want to test this price, here is the form. Good luck. You will need it.
To learn more about the world of Halo, the Master Chief Collection, including Halo 2 Anniversary, you can get microtransactions up to Halo 5: Guardians, which is a bit frustrating.
